We manufacture these Salt lamps out of the world-known Khewra Salt Mines. The dig is popular for its development of pink Khewra salt, regularly advertised as Himalayan salt, and is a significant vacation destination, attracting up to 250,000 guests every year. This salt mine’s discovery can be traced all the way back to its revelation by Alexander’s soldiers in 320 BC, however, it began production during the Mughal period.
The principle burrow at ground level was created during British rule (1972) by Dr. H. Warth, a mining engineer, and allowed for a significant increase in the mine’s yearly yield.
